Florida does not cap dealer fees, and they commonly add $800 to $1,500 to a used car’s advertised price. Some stores charge more. At Rocky’s Ultimate Garage the answer is simpler: zero dealer fees. The price you see is the price you pay, plus tax and tag.
The names vary from store to store: documentation fee, predelivery service fee, electronic filing fee. These are profit lines, not government charges. Florida law requires that they be disclosed, not that they be small.
How to shop around them
Ask for the out-the-door number in writing before you drive to any dealership. A fair store hands it over in minutes. A store that stalls on that question has answered it.
We sell a small number of clean, vetted cars from the same building where we protect them. No dealer fees, no four-square worksheet, and most deals close in under 90 minutes.
